You’ve done great work to prepare – some of you have registered to vote for the first time, others have taken the quick two minutes to confirm your registration is current.
Now, we’re ready for the next phase: find your candidates! March marks the official start for candidates to file to run for office in the 2022 Elections. This year, candidate filing takes place from March 1 through June 7, 2022.
And although we’re months away from Primary Election ballots hitting mailboxes across Hawaii, now is the time to familiarize yourself with who will be on your ballot. Your participation doesn’t begin when ballots arrive, but when candidate filing begins!
What offices are up for election?
Here’s an at-a-glance look at what elected offices you’ll be voting on in 2022:

Bookmark our Candidate Reports page to see the latest in who is running for office. The report is updated daily.
What resources are available to learn about candidates?
The Candidate Reports are a great place to start. The reports publish candidate websites and contact information. Get in touch directly with those running for office to learn more about their stance on the issues that matter most to you.
Use the Candidate Reports to find candidates’ political party affiliation, then check in with the parties to learn more about their candidates. Political parties can connect you with more resources on candidates running within their party. Find out how to contact the parties on our Political Parties page.
