Aloha from the Office of Elections!

Looking for a way to get involved this election season? Here are three ways you can help make the 2026 Elections a success:

1. Spread the Word

Become the go-to election expert in your circle! Knowing the basics of voter registration and voting by mail can go a long way. Our Voting in Hawaii page is a great resource, but here are a few key points to share:

  • First-time registration is easy at elections.hawaii.gov
  • Moved since the last election? Be sure that your ballot arrives by updating your residence and mailing address anytime it changes
  • Ballots are mailed 18 days before Election Day and must be received by 7:00 PM on Election Day

2. Register New Voters

Voter registration isn’t always top of mind, but you can help by making it easy and accessible:

  • Set up a voter registration table at a community event
  • On a smaller scale, do you have an upcoming gathering with friends or family? Bring registration forms and help them sign up on the spot

If you’re interested in holding your own voter registration effort, visit our Voter Registration Drives page for guidelines and to request materials.

3. Volunteer

Join our team of election volunteers and help with preparing mail ballots for counting. Check out our Volunteer page to explore opportunities and sign up.

Let’s make 2026 a year of strong civic engagement!
