2020 Political Preference Positions Determined for Primary Election
Posted on Apr 1, 2020 in News ReleasesPEARL CITY, April 1, 2020 – In preparation for the Primary Election on August 8, the Office of Elections conducted a drawing to determine the order the political preferences will appear on the ballot. When voting on the Primary Election ballot, voters must select a political preference and vote only for candidates associated with their selected political preference. The order the political preferences will appear on the Primary Election ballot, as a result of the drawing, are:
Libertarian Party
Green Party
Democratic Party
Nonpartisan Ballot
American Shopping Party
Constitution Party
Republican Party
Aloha Aina Party
Beginning with the 2020 Primary Election, all voters will automatically receive a ballot in the mail and no traditional polling places will be established. Voters should be on the lookout for their Primary Election mail ballot packet to be delivered on July 21 and their General Election mail ballot packet to be delivered on October 16. While we are monitoring the situation with COVID-19, there are currently no changes to this schedule.
